Ekaterina Fedorova

During her school years she learned to play the guitar, then started to play drums in a school band (due to The lack of drummers) and began to study at the jazz college. After school graduation she started to visit concerts in the legendary club TaMtaAm and dived into the rock'n'roll life. She began to play in bands like U.C.A. (Union of the commercial avant-garde) - the project of the saxophone player of the band AuctIon Nikolay Rubanov, Nord Folk - the project of the accordion player Andrey "Figa". In 1998 she founded her own band "Babsley", that consisted only of girls (experimental punk). 2001-2013 she cooperated with Nick Soudnik in ZGA (industrial avant-garde noise). After the split of Babsley in 2002, Ekaterina and two other band members founded IVA NOVA band. Till nowadays IVA NOVA is the main project. Another famous project that she took part of from 2005 to 2010 was FIGS (drum&noise). This band was consisted of three drummers: Ekaterina Fedorova, Marcus Godwyn and Alexey Ivanov. One of the significant events in her musical career was a tour in England with German band "Faust" (2002). Ekaterina also plays sometimes in St. Petersburg Improvisers Orchestra and participates in different theater projects(theatre ACHE, theatre "OSOBNJAK"). In 2018 she started her new musical adventure: RAZMOTCHIKI KATUSHEK (industrial electro punk). In this project Ekaterina plays with her husband Remko Muermans (Netherlands, ZEA)
